The Stagecoach Fleetline Group. MBE 613R (Fleet No. 15513) Leyland Fleetline FE30AGR 1976 Roe Body
15513 was new to Grimsby/Cleethorpes Transport in 1976 as a standard double decked bus. It operated for almost twenty years as a standard service bus before being converted to 'Open Top' format during the early 1990's. Since then it has been one of the regular performers on the Cleethorpes sea front service '17' every summer. It retired as 'Stagecoach Grimsby/Cleethorpes 15513 on 15th July 2005 when it was replaced by newly converted (to open top) Leyland Olympian 14667 (H667 BNL), formerly with Stagecoach Transit. 15513 was the last Leyland Fleetline to operate in service with the Stagecoach Group. Thankfully, the management at Stagecoach 'East Midlands' have agreed to keep this vehicle as a promotional/show bus, at their Chesterfield depot. The very good condition of 15513 at almost thirty years old, is a credit to the staff at 'Stagecoach Grimsby/Cleethorpes. A small group of enthusiasts at Chesterfield Depot have formed 'The Stagecoach Fleetline Group' to help ensure that 15513 remains in good condition and hopefully continues to be used for many years to come.
