445 was new to Fylde Borough
Transport in October 1984. It was the last Atlantean to enter service
in the UK. She carries a Northern Counties Manchester style
body with 76 coach seats.
She originally entered service in Fylde
blue and white livery as fleet number 75 with registration
number B75 URN and was used on service 11 and 11A.
In the late 1980s, Fylde began using the
trade name: 'Blue Buses' and a new two tone blue livery was
introduced, into which she was re-painted.
In 1991, 445 was returned to
Northern Counties for a full refurbishment and returned to service in
Seagull Coaches livery (Seagull was the coaching subsidiary of Fylde
Borough) as fleet number 25 after being re-registered NJI 5505.
In 1996, Blackpool Transport took
over control of Fylde and soon after, Seagull Coaches was wound up.
She was then re-painted in Blackpool green and cream livery. 445
was then used mainly on school services and promenade duties until being
withdrawn from service in 2004.
445 is now owned by the Blackpool
Transport Omnibus Group who have re-registered her on the original
plate 'B75 URN and intend to restore her as 'Seagull Coaches
number 45.
